Arrive in Delhi, India’s vibrant capital, where you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After check?in, the rest of the day is at leisure to recover from your journey or enjoy a quiet stroll nearby. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Today you explore the historical and modern contrasts of Delhi. Begin in Old Delhi with visits to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in Asia, Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, and a drive past the majestic Red Fort. Continue to New Delhi to see India Gate, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and UNESCO?listed Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb, showcasing Delhi’s rich architectural legacy.
After breakfast, drive to Agra, the city of the Mughal emperors. On arrival, visit the impressive Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as the residence of Mughal royalty. Continue to Itmad?ud?Daulah’s Tomb, often called the “Baby Taj,” admired for its delicate marble inlay work. Evening free to explore local bazaars.
Start early with a sunrise visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and India’s most celebrated monument. After breakfast, drive towards Jaipur, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri, the beautifully preserved abandoned Mughal capital. Continue onward to Jaipur, the Pink City, and check in at your hotel.
Explore Jaipur’s royal heritage today. Visit the hilltop Amber Fort, ascending by jeep or elephant ride. Continue to the City Palace, still home to Jaipur’s royal family, and Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory and UNESCO site. End the day browsing Jaipur’s colorful markets known for textiles, gemstones, and handicrafts.
Drive through the arid landscapes of Rajasthan to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, visit the formidable Mehrangarh Fort, dramatically perched on a rocky hill and offering sweeping views of the Blue City below. Also visit Jaswant Thada, a serene marble cenotaph. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Depart Jodhpur and journey through the scenic Aravalli Hills to the exquisite Ranakpur Jain Temples, famous for their 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars. After a guided visit, continue to Udaipur, the romantic City of Lakes, and check in at your hotel.
